Benjamin Yi
Executive Chairman
Benjamin was recruited to Riot in October 2018, initially to serve as a director and chair of the audit committee of the Board of Directors. He was elected Chairman of the Board in November 2020 and nominated to the role of Executive Chairman in May 2021.

Benjamin is the architect responsible for the Company’s turnaround and position as a leading Bitcoin-driven infrastructure platform company. Under his guidance and leadership, Riot has raised over $1.5 billion, significantly improved its operational and financial profile, reconstituted a more diverse Board of Directors, established a professionalized, cross-functional management team, and successfully integrated two strategic acquisitions.

Benjamin brings a broad portfolio of experience in investment management, strategy, corporate development, and governance to the Company. In addition to having served as a director of several public and private companies, he also brings two decades of unique capital markets experience to the management team, with a particular expertise in fintech-enabled businesses, specialty finance, and special situations investing through a company's capital structure.

Prior to Riot, Benjamin led the capital markets efforts at IOU Financial, a tech-enabled lender to small businesses, which was acquired by Neuberger Berman in 2023. Prior thereto, he worked directly under the late Ned Goodman, a renowned Canadian financier, investor and founder of Dundee Corporation, a Toronto-based conglomerate. Prior to Dundee, Benjamin was a securities analyst at the predecessor to 1832 Asset Management L.P., where he covered energy and special situations investments on a team managing one of North America's largest natural resources-focused investment funds. Benjamin holds a Master of Finance degree from the Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Trinity College in the University of Toronto. He is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Society Cayman Islands.

Jason Les
Chief Executive Officer
Jason joined Riot in 2017, initially as a member of the Advisory Board before being asked to join the Board of Directors later that year. Alongside Riot’s strategic transformation, and the reconstitution of its Board of Directors and management team, Jason became Chief Executive Officer in February 2021.

Jason is the driving force behind the mission to make Riot one of the most significant players supporting the Bitcoin network. Jason's passion for Bitcoin dates to 2013, where he gained significant experience in cryptocurrency mining, protocol development, and contributing to open-source projects. He is deeply committed to the advancement of Bitcoin and his technical expertise plays an integral part in Riot’s strategic decision making.

Jason's experience extends beyond the world of Bitcoin. He was a founding partner of Binary Digital, where he led the engineering team and coordinated the development of projects ranging from artificial intelligence to reverse engineering and inter-software compatibility. Jason's ability to navigate complex technical challenges with ease and precision is a testament to his leadership skills.

Jason also brings a unique background as a former professional heads-up poker player to Riot. He successfully competed in high-stakes games online and the most prestigious, high-stakes tournaments worldwide. In 2015 and 2017, he was selected as a human benchmark for testing the world's best poker artificial intelligence in what was dubbed "Man vs Machine" at Carnegie Mellon University. This experience instilled in Jason the discipline, focus, and strategic thinking that he applies to his work today.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Information & Computer Science from UC Irvine. He is dedicated to achieving excellence in his work and making a meaningful impact in the world of Bitcoin technology.

Lance D'Ambrosio
Lead Independent Director
Lance is a successful entrepreneur, private investor, corporate director, and a past recipient of the Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the category of e-Software & Services. Currently, he serves as Managing Partner of 4 D Investments, which focuses on technology and real estate investments. Lance has founded and grown numerous companies spanning several industries including the telecommunications, materials, and automotive sectors. Over the course of his career, he has led capital raising efforts totaling hundreds of millions of dollars, executed on over thirty corporate acquisitions, successfully taken a number of companies public on both US and international exchanges, and successfully sold several businesses to larger market participants, including Sprint Telecommunications and Comsat International, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin.

Lance brings significant corporate governance experience to Riot's Board, including expertise in financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and complex international structuring. Lance graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management as a member of the Dean's Honor List.

Jaime Leverton
Independent Director
Ms. Leverton most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Hut 8 Mining Corp., one of the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining companies, where she facilitated extensive M&A and capital markets activities, including the company's Nasdaq listing and its expansion into the HPC space through the acquisition of TeraGo, Inc.’s data center business. Prior to Hut 8, Ms. Leverton held leadership roles as Chief Commercial Officer at eStruxture Data Centers and General Manager, Vice President for Canada and APAC for Cogeco Peer 1 (now Aptum Technologies). Ms. Leverton also served as Managing Director, Financial Markets, for National Bank of Canada and as Vice President, Carrier Sales and Distribution, Americas at BlackBerry in addition to holding leadership roles at both Bell Canada and IBM Canada. She previously served on the boards of directors of Hut 8 Mining Corp. (NASDAQ: HUT) and WonderFi Technologies Inc. (TSX: WNDR) (OTCQB: WONDF). Ms. Leverton holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University, and an Institute of Corporate Directors, Director certificate from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Doug Mouton
Independent Director
Doug Mouton is currently a member of the Advisory Board for Fidelis New Energy, a developer of multi-gigawatt, zero carbon power facilities in Europe and the US. He was previously Senior Engineer Lead, Datacenter Design and Construction, at Meta. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Global Datacenter Delivery, at Microsoft, and Group VP at Jacobs Solutions. He has over 33 years of leadership experience from his service in the U.S. Army National Guard, and has a background in driving innovation and efficiency in the design and construction of data centers, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale industrial projects. Mr. Mouton graduated from the U.S. Army War College in 2008 with a Masters of Strategic Studies, Military Science, and Operational Studies. He graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.

Mr. Mouton brings practical expertise in the design, construction and scaling of data centers and deep familiarity with the requirements of hyperscalers.

Michael Turner
Independent Director
Mr. Turner is the former President of Oxford Properties Group, a leading global real estate investor, asset manager and business builder, as well as the former Global Head of Real Estate for the OMERS pension plan. While Chair of Oxford’s Leadership team and Investment Committee, Mr. Turner was responsible for the overall guidance and strategic direction of the global team. Previously, Mr. Turner held the positions of Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President at Oxford Properties Group. Prior to joining Oxford, Mr. Turner was Executive Vice President at CBRE Group, Inc., a leading global real estate investment services provider. He currently serves on the board of directors of Lineage Holdings (NASDAQ: LINE) and is a member of the Audit, Compensation and Equity Award Committees. He previously served on the boards of several investment and asset management companies, including M7 Real Estate (UK), Honest Buildings (sold to NYSE: PCOR) and R-LABS. Mr. Turner holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Planning from Queen’s University and a Master of Finance from the University of Toronto, and is a CFA charter holder.

Mr. Turner brings deep real asset investment and capital allocation experience.
